Do I need any horse or riding experience? Nope! We are going to teach you everything you need to know.
Where are you located? We are in Ashburn, just north of Brooklin, easily accessible from the 407 and Highway 12. Address is 140 Myrtle Rd West, Ashburn, ON.
If I like riding what is next after the course? Horses are pretty addictive so it makes sense you'd like to continue! You have options...You could do another 6 weeks of the Learn to Ride program OR you could start into private or group lessons (group lessons require riders to be able to Walk/Trot on their own and steer/stop)
What are the ages? For this class the ages are 10 years old and up. No age restrictions on upper end. Riders under 10 can start regular private lessons as we start riders as young as 6 years old.
What do I need for riding? Just a riding helmet. You'll receive a discount code to our favourite tack store when you register. Then you'll need to wear comfortable pants (like track pants or yoga pants), and boots with a heel (like rubber boots or blundstones). We will also send a list of details, so you can refer to it, once you register.
Can family and friends come to watch? Absolutely! And they should take pictures and tag us in them ;)

Our Assessment lesson is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe into the equestrian world before diving in completely. It's your chance to explore the experience and decide if it's the right fit for you, without the commitment of regular lessons.
For this introductory session, all you need are comfortable pants, such as track pants or yoga pants, and boots with a heel, like rubber boots. Don't worry about needing specialized gear; we've got you covered! We provide helmets for your initial ride, ensuring your safety and comfort during the lesson.
This session allows you to get a feel for the riding experience and helps you decide if horse riding aligns with your interests and goals. If you enjoy the lesson and want to pursue further riding opportunities, our team will provide guidance and direction on the next steps to help you along your equestrian journey.
